Florence and The Machine Austin Concert reviews
BEST LINE-UPS EVER!
Wow! This concert was amazing! This is the second year in a row that my boyfriend and I have been to Wrex the Halls. The line-ups are fantastic, both, this year and last year. Last year I went to the night with Smashing Pumpkins and the headlining band and this year I went to night one, which had Florence +the Machine as the headliner. I think that Wrex the Halls is MUCH better than Kroq's Almost Acoustic Christmas. They both use the same bands, but Wrex the Halls only cuts it down to the best bands, so there aren't as many. Causing the concert to be much cheaper. The pit tickets were $60 at Wrex the Halls and I think they are $90 for Kroq's show. I loved every single band in the line-up this year and last year as well. They just know how to pick great bands. While Kroq has a bunch of smaller bands that I don't really care about. The only band that Kroq had that Wrex didn't was Mumford & Sons. That was the ONLY disappointment of the night. Another great thing they had this year was a revolving stage. So while one band was playing they were preparing for the next to come on. So it only took about 5 minutes between each band to come one stage. I showed up at 1:30 and got to be right in the middle in the pit up against the gate. The very front! I got to touch Mikel Jollett, the singer of The Airbourne Toxic Event, because he came right up to us and laid in the pit right where we were. The Naked and Famous, The Airbourne Toxic Event, Cage the Elephant, Noel Gallagher, Death Cab For Cutie, and Florence +the Machine were all amazing that night! It was one of the best times I have ever had at a concert. Highly recommended.
